Definitely left this wheel off. Also because of the issue here I Wanted to show you and also wanted to make sure this bill is pretty large I don't want you to run I've never, well, I've tried to run, but it's more for a gag. So anyway, back to the door popper. So so this top one does this door.

Wow! Welcome to Hoo's Garage! The dumbest Automotive channel in all of YouTube and it's just before Christmas and the car wizard has called me up and said good news. a few of your cars are done, but bad news. You really need to brace yourself because the bill is really really bad, which he's never really done that to me before. usually I just show up and pay and if it's a bad Bill I take it.

but he's never warn me before so I'm actually concerned. I'm also a little confused because the cars that he is working on aren't Exotics they aren't Ferraris or Lamborghinis it's a Cadillac my 1999 ELO Rod which is a custom car built by General Motors uh for the show circuit in in the late '90s it's been sitting for a long time, but it doesn't have any huge serious issues along with the Buick Park Avenue Ultra that I recently purchased that one also been sitting for a few years but still a simple GM car and then a Ford F-150 Raptor with 300,000 miles once again a Ford So what could possibly be going wrong with those to make them so dang darn expensive now? I'm heading up there right now in my Cway Camaro which has been waiting its turn to get fixed. It has the classic LT1 leak which is the water pump leaking onto the Op spark the ignition part of the car. a major design defect and uh, it does cause issues along with a few other little things.

but even though this is a radical custom Callaway it's all generic stuff so it shouldn't be too bad. but that's what I thought with the other cars. Uh, so we'll see when we head up to the car. Wizards man this Callaway is so darn cool.

Wizard hello wizard hello Euro Asian Bob's Ferrari is back yeah I'm just sitting here admiring his car. Do you think he'll ever sell it I don't know I did surprise him and prank him with this car and he does seem to really enjoy driving it but he is a very smooth Operator when it comes to car dealer and everything as a prize. but uh yeah, it's a really cool car God He did such a great job cleaning it up. Mhm Okay, well and your viper in for the winter next to my Ferrari yeah which uh this is an unusual thing for you because you told me to brace myself before before I came up here Mhm which you've sentent me some big bills before, but you've never said to brace myself right? and we have just normal domestic cars up here so it really shouldn't be any.

Ferrari I guess the Ferrari head thing is back, so that was expensive. but every single one of these that are sitting right here ended up turning out to be way worse than what he anticipated. and every time we took something apart, it was like oh my. God This is broke.

That's broke and it just kept piling up. Okay, well let's start with the Raptor. So what's going on here? It had a exhaust leak and some suspension issues and then the Uh axle had fallen out for whatever reason, had nothing to do with my abuse, right? It's all tore apart still. Huh? I See the axles in.
We got a new axle and suspension issues are taken care of see if the new tie rod ends and stuff. but it has an exhaust leak and we were hoping maybe one stud was broken. We could get it out, but after we started looking, both sides had two or three broken studs both sides of the engine. The only way on these vehicles to get to them is to drop the entire front axle.

and you can see here we have this bracing that's holding the engine up. You have to partially disconnect the motor mounts and partially raise it to even get to oh my, the manifold. So these are my motor mounts. Is that my starter just sitting out too? Yes, you can see how it's cracked in all the way through on your motor mounts completely separated in half.

So I need motor mounts too. We have brand new ones here. They just showed up. Here's my exhaust manifold gaskets.

It looks like huh? Yep. and here's all the studs. You see. How many were just broken? broken? Oh just tons of them.

Fantastic. And there are my manifold. Are you able to reuse those? No, Cuz let me show you something. The reason why they broke? Let's see me find right here.

Here's a nice flat surface here. The reason why they broke. Is this a new AC machine. Yes.

Angry R2D2 Died. No. Yeah. Yes.

he's actually behind you. He's waiting for his funeral possession. Oh, you need to do a video saying goodbye. He he looked like an R2 unit.

He had a face. He's dead. So this is the new R2 Bpack actually hooked me up with this one. Okay, so what's going on with the exhaust? Sorry I Got distracted.

You see how it's rocked. Ah, it's warped. If we put it on with the new studs, it'll just break the new studs. So this thing is really really bad warped.

We have the new manifolds already on. We were waiting waiting on the actually the new motor mounts are right here. Okay, they just arrived today. Wonderful.

and that's my front diff right there, Huh? Yes, with the old exploded axle. Mhm. All right. so we're off to a merry start My hoopties.

Uh, at least the Raptor is giving me a really crappy Christmas gift so we don't have a bill on this one, but already it's going to be thousands. Two, three, four, I. Don't know yet. but the view up wasn't that bad.

It was running poorly, but you just said it was a mass airflow sensor. So how is this one? Way worse? So we actually had to do the valve cover gaskets In order to get to those. you have to pull off the alternator in the alternator bracket, which there's little coolant elbows underneath there that are plastic. Okay, and they break.

You can actually see we have new upgraded metal ones. There's one of them there, all right. So that's sort of a while you're there and not the end of the world. So this little guy completely disintegrated when we took it apart.
Yeah, all the belts were cracked. There's two of them. So why is all that? I Mean it's still GM parts and that's all cheap. So why is that worse? Uh, everything adds up.

It keeps adding up a little bit here, a little bit there, more labor. and then we got the new airflow sensor on. so everything's good to go there. Yeah, then we got to the air suspension.

Let me go back here, right? These have rear air ride. Just sort of an assist and it was out so we were hoping it would just be some shocks and be good to go. Yeah, the old ones we saw in your video previously they were blown out Correct! But the old compressor. it wasn't even pumping any air, it was just completely destroyed.

We took it apart and see all the corrosion in there. Yeah these things are like over 300 bucks just for the compressor. That can't be it is. I I Thought too it's like surely I mean these should be plentiful Parts It's a GM product and it was expensive.

okay and I'm sure the shocks weren't cheap as well just going off of what airshock? couple 100 bucks for the pair of those. Okay, they had the labor to take this all apart, put the new one in and then we looked at the brakes. Yeah, I knew the brakes were low. they were.

They were getting there okay. all rotors, pads, everything and all the labor everything included. It added up really fast. Interesting.

Okay, so this one's pretty bad. The Cadillac though it had just been sitting for a long time, there wasn't much that was wrong. I know it was making that pulley noise right? It actually was multiple pulley. We would take one pulley off or one rotating assembly as I call them and replace it.

uhhuh and there would still be. the noise would diminish a little bit every time we replace something, but it ended up being your power steering pump, your alternator, your AC compressor and the tensioner and the pulley were all bad. All the bearings were sitting for so long. Every single accessory on that side, all of them.

Oh my gosh, Yes! okay well I see it still up in the air? I Did get new tires for it because they were from 1999 and the car ninja told me that mounting them was very interesting at least with the valve stems to put in air. One of them was bad. He was able to find an O-ring to fit so it would actually hold air so he said it was a bit of a process but you don't have all the I thought I was taking this one home. The wheels aren't all on yet, one of them is on but it was quite a deal.

I wanted to show you in the back. if you ever have a flat or something go wrong back here. Uhhuh this entire assembly. It doesn't just come off with a couple of snaps or something, you have to unbolt all of this as one solid the whole rear skirt because this is a custom car that's sort of barreled out and chopped and everything.
so they weren't thinking about service ability for this crazy show car. So if I ever have Tire problems or just want to put air in the tire, this is this is my life. So like with this panel in place the you can't do anything with the wheel, you can't get it off. Okay well what about uh, the door poppers and uh, all that.

I'll lower it down a little bit. Everything was successful. It turned out really good. cool And my air ride.

Is it uh, working? Yes, this thing is just so cool looking though. and I already see I see the cameras? Yes, those are actually Handmade by Gr you took the plate that was there already right because they were inset before. Now they're out which makes sense for the camera lens, huh? He cut some tubing and did kind of like some body filler work and made this nice little aerodynamic shape and these are adjustable wherever you want them. Okay, those are the little mirrors.

Very nice because it came without mirrors. This was a show car. They were trying to be futuristic and they had the cameras sort of just dummied up, but they were never functional. but it had door poppers at one point.

Uh, there was a button underneath but all of it had been ripped out. we saw that in a previous video so those all work. Let me find actually the little remote and I'll show you I definitely left this wheel off also because of the issue here I wanted to show you and also wanted to make sure this bill is pretty large I don't want you to run I've never. Well, I've tried to run but it's more more for a gag.

So anyway, back to the door popper. So so this top one does this door wa that's awesome. Okay, the bottom one does the other door. Sweet.

So the air suspension on this. everything's so modified it can never work like it was supposed to again. Like with the Buick it has a ride height sensor, a little arm that comes out. but this one, the suspension's been lowered and modified.

So the compressor actually works. It holds air. So what we did is there was two used buttons that we're not going to use on this. Okay, the trunk poper on your actual GM key fob works right? So we don't need it on this one.

So if you want to raise it, if it gets a little low, you just push this star button. You'll listen and you'll hear there's the compressor. Okay, it'll airrow up where you want it and if it's a little too high, you push the orange button and it'll let. Okay, lets the valve out.

So now it's just manual based on my taste or getting it level. Okay, if you go to take this thing out for spin, it's sitting a little low in the back. You can just Pump It Up where you want it and you're It'll hold air for several days. Perfect.

Okay, so that's good to go there. Why don't you hop in and I'll show you your camera system. I See you? Yes, that is awesome. There should be a switch right above your head is orange.
There's the side view mirror coming back into me. Okay, it's orange. Yeah, okay. and that turns it back into a rear view mirror.

Yes, All right. Very nice. So this is what they intended to do when this was a show car and it just never got completed. But now I have side view mirrors in my rearview mirror? That's really neat.

Yes, it works very well. It's genius. So this bill is bigger because of all the extra things obviously. Yes, uh.

but these are three domestic cars. The Ferrari is the one I know about already because the heads should be back by now. right? Yes, Here they are. They actually where Daniel used to work years ago.

There was the Ferrari dealership and also a place called Iel Performance Mhm. They really helped us out on this deal because we put the heads back on and it still had low compression because the uh, everything inside was sort of melted with the valve seats right right? So they got everything smoothed out. they put took care of the valve seats and checked the guides. Everything looked good so these heads are now usable again.

Yeah, you sent me the invoice for that and it was about uh, three grand. Yes, it was expensive. It was a lot of money. so now the engine can go back together again and my beautiful 456 can actually go again.

It's been over 6 months, it's been a long time and it's not really here. fall. It's just been a process to get everything going again. So so we got three grand already that I'm spinning for Christmas on the hoopties and this one.

you don't have a bill for me yet. but it's going to be a lot. but it's going to be a lot. Yeah, um.

which one am I going to be able to drive home today? Is it? Is it this one? Uh, this one? you can drive home today. We'll put the wheel on and together, but not until the bill is paid. All right. Well, you told me to brace myself.

so I'm I'm braced. You're braced. Okay, you have witnesses here. So you have gifts to buy for Christmas.

It's the Christmas season. Uhhuh. but I have gifts for you. a Buick ticket and an Eldorado ticket and they're both multiple Pages which is bad yes and both of them add up to that.

$7,600 $7,600 Uh, okay. well so the Elder Rod yeah, that's that's all the accessories, isn't it? Mhm and uh, fluids, okay services, and all the custom work that Grimes did. Wow. Okay, the side cameras.

yeah, you know all that door popper y all that custom work is not I Mean there's no labor hours in a book. It's all by hour by hour. Okay, so it was about a grand to get the poppers going again, about a grand to get the cameras going again and then all the fluids and it's total $4500 So Mhm, that means the Buick was was way more than than you thought. Whoa Yes, Okay, holy moly.
So yeah, the air suspens that's $419 the Re shocks 186. that's a lot more expensive than it used to be I think yes it is. it's a lot more. I Can see why you told me to prepare myself.

so my hoopies have just given me a $10,000 kick of the nuts. Merry Christmas what are you doing with this money I'm going to go on a trip or something I don't know I might get a Rolex I've actually been thinking about a Rolex Wonderful. All right. Well I'll pay and then I can actually cry myself home in the Cadillac right? Yes you can.

Very cool. uh-oh I just lost all power steering. so I have to turn around now. Oh oh man, this thing's almost impossible to drive without power steering.

oh it's in the ground I think it did I think the Bel is has fallen off in yeah there it is. Yeah a all right, better shut it off. Yeah so what do you think happen? I have no idea I mean anymore with parts you get them out. they're bad.

Right out of the box, brand new so could be one of the pulley or really need to take this wheel off to get in there and get the belt back on or figure out what's going on. But until then, actually you can take home the Buick it's done I Guess So yeah, that one did get to go on a nice long test drive. This one I was so anxious I took it before you guys could really shake it down. all that much so.

And the thing is too is like with with people working on it, we we really don't want to drive it because it's really illegal. We could get in huge trouble. So yeah, I suppose. All right.

Well I go from a Northstar to a 3800. supposedly much more reliable, huh? Yes, that's definitely more reliable than that. And the Elder Rod is giving me one more Christmas gift I guess or maybe not. I Guess all that stuff will be Waranty I That'll be war.

That will be. We'll figure out what that is and that'll be covered. All right. Well, let's see how the Buick drives All right.

So far, so good. In the Park Avenue Ultra and I ripped off the Geriatric reverse camera here. it's still hooked up on this. Oh, we can take that off and remove it and now we have a very, very nice machine.

These things. oh they ride so good. They're so darn comfortable. it's a mighty fine consolation prize.

It was barely running before getting down the road Now I have so so much power with that supercharged 30 00 V6 The last thing to do on this car well is tires but also cleaning it up I Bought this thing knowing it had some wear and tear because it was one owner and an old person that quit driving. So it has a few little marks in the bumpers. They probably need to be painted it sitting for a while. so I need all this sorted out like the tires.

but I think a really mild paint correction will really bring out the color of this thing and man oh man does it drive nice God that was an expensive Christmas Thank you so much for watching.

Hoovie you are in such a cool and unique position. Think about this. Due to where he is in life he gets to own and drive……… experience some of these rolling prices of automotive history. I would love have that much disposable income. Not being sarcastic. It's awesome that we get to follow him on his many care adventures. I have been watching since he drove that Aston Martin on a lake or pond.
