My P Zeros that I got on my 911 sucked! I put on Michelin Pilot Sport and my car rocked! Such a better ride- the tire comes over my GT3 rim lip so no curb rash! Note- I have the GT3 rims, not the car! Just a 2000 996 with GT3 side skirts and rims (I bought the car before knowing this)

You need to track/auto-x your Miata. That way you learn conservation of momentum, or keeping speed through the corners. Since the Miata has NO power you can't expect to accelerate out of the corners at any great rate. So keeping speed up and only having to accelerate from that higher maintained speed is key. And since the Miata is such a simple, analog car you FEEL everything. You FEEL whether it's oversteering (rarely) or understeering (easily done). You also hear whether you're torturing the tires because your ears are RIGHT there next to the rear tire. As always

It's right in the name of the car.
Sure a Porsche, Corvette or BMW is faster and funner to HOON, but they'll also hide more of your driving flaws even with TC disabled. Everythign you learn in a Miata will transfer to any other car you drive.

I wonder if the corvette had a front license plate. They have issues with the front license plate blocking the air dam causing overheating with track driving
