Would take a lot to start diesel on fire but definitely makes a mess
Should have bought a v8
Too much blah blah blah, My dog died and then because I got this thing😅😅😅
Damn dude I'm in the process of buying one I hope this video doesn't turn me away….😢😢😢
I own a 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL450. When I start the engine, I hear a knocking sound that becomes more pronounced when I accelerate. However, the noise significantly diminishes when I reach speeds exceeding 40 miles per hour. Interestingly, there is no noise when I have the air conditioning (AC) turned on, this is for last 5 months, i am still driving. vehicle driven only 76k miles
These guys complain about everything, but has ZERO issues charging you your first born to fix these vehicles.
You think a car with 200,000 miles will last forever? It's not a Volvo but maybe you should take care of your cars better. Albeit if you bought it like that then the previous owner has neglected to do the proper maintenance.
What a pos!
Shame on the best-or-nothing, you get the nothing here
i have a 2-13 gl350 with AMG styling. I hear they werent avail in USA. I LOVE IT BTW! 250k. Owned it for last 100 km
$3500 for maintenence is insane. Even if we're talking about a timing chain service, that's way too high.
"Mechanically Totalled" is a relative term. The reason this is totalled is mainly due to deppreciation, and, of course, mechanical issues. With 200,000 miles, you can expect a lot of work needing to be done on an older European car. Fix the main issues and keep on truck'in.☺☺☺
Diesel is harder to burn then gasoline so ya need too paranoid .
I have a 2008 gl420 since 2014 and no big issues outside of wear and tear parts in wheels.
All the issues you mentioned indicate that the poor car may have been severely abused in its first years with little or no servicing.
I own a 2007 gl 320 cdi. No leaks at all, no suspension popping, 30mpg on the motorway. 170K miles
All car manufacturers have issues, if I was running this assessment, it would paint a different picture.
I might just do that actually…..😮
That’s ridiculous when you buying 20y old car and want to drive trouble free. I own 3.0 all maintenance do my own and can say it reliable if you service it right. There is no competitors what you get for price. Only one is land cruiser 200 what cost min twice and has poor mpg and handling. Only one thing that 99% usa market x164 don’t have offroad package what means no 3 level suspension lift, no solid metal guard underneath, no low range, no central and rear diff lock. That means without that package you drive big RAV4. X164 with offroad package is really serious offroader and it easily go where patrols, wranglers go. Can go in water up to 60cm. But after all you can drive home on autobahn keeping 200km/h and handle it like normal car. What car can do that for such silly money?
Yeah Dude..
