Why didn’t you take the rear housing off old transmission
The only mistake I see is painting a Lambo orange.

had several cars/trucks painted at maaco/econo always pretty good. the secret is the tip. tell the mgr alone that you'll round up paying cash f it looks really good. that extra less than 100 dollars gets him to check each stage of work, and he's likely the sprayer, and will slow down a little
Prep and knowledge go a long way with paint
