Wait a second wizard one yacht two: are you in the yacht, repairing business now or is dueling yachts? Is that yours? Yes, you have a fleet of yachts. I have a carver and a bay liner welcome to the garage, the dumbest automotive channel in all of youtube, and this is my 2006 lamborghini murcielago roadster and, as you can see, it is in what i call service mode. I have just installed the toupee, the top for this lamborghini murcielago, and the only reason for me to do that is in an emergency rain situation or if it's going in for service shmee, when he visited here not too long ago. Thought me putting the top on this mercy.

Logo was so funny that he devoted most of a video to it and it does take a long time to do. But in this instance, is good news, because this mercy logo is finally going up to the car wizards. To get an issue fixed that has been waiting for for months, why has it been waiting well because of the lamborghini diablo and the power steering rack fiasco that has taken four months to solve? It is an incredible privilege and pleasure to own these three lambos, but if you don't live near a lamborghini dealer or don't want to spend lamborghini dealer prices, you do have to be very, very patient when it comes to these cars. But the diablo has been absolutely ridiculous, but the wizard says the new steering rack is in and it's fixed and for the first time i'll actually be able to drive and enjoy that car he's also fixed.

The air conditioning we'll discuss what that took, which is a hooptie fix when we get up to the wizards, but this murcielago has been waiting for a long time for a belt tensioner swap basically over winter. This thing sat quite a bit and the belt tensioner has worked itself loose. Initially, this car had an issue with belt pulley alignment and was ripping apart belts because of that, but also it seems like the tensioner is letting loosen over time. It starts to let the belt squeak more and more to the point where now i'm almost scared to drive this thing hard, because i'm worried it will toss the belt.

I've been waiting for months because of this stupid, diablo steering rack situation and that weary build was crap, but they did refund the money. So we had to source a new one for three thousand dollars from italy. It showed up it's in the car. So well, let's go actually before we go i'd like to thank policy genius for sponsoring today's video, which will have an enormous bill from the car, wizard, so good reason to procrastinate, but policy genius can save you tons of money as it's america's leading online insurance marketplace Policy genius makes it easy to compare home and auto insurance in one place and they can help you find home and auto coverage similar to what you have now, but at a lower price, they've saved shoppers up to 1055 per year over what they were paying for Home and auto insurance from my personal experience, i think it's important to check insurance rates every few years, as insurance companies tend to start lower than they slowly up the premiums over time.
At a rate, you wouldn't scoff at until well, basically you're overpaying and when you have a hooptie fleet like mine, insurance is very important, especially when you have the italian variety that, like to spontaneously combust. Well, i've been there. So it's very important not only to have the best value on insurance, but the best coverage for what you need and policy genius is here to help getting started with policy genius is easy, first head to policygenius.com, hovies and answer a few quick questions about yourself and Your property, then policy genius takes it from there. They'll compare rates from america's top insurers from progressive to allstate to find your lowest quotes.

Policy genius never sells your information to other companies and they do not add extra fees. So support me and my general sponsors, by going to policy genius, slash hovies and save yourself some money. Now, let's head back up to the wizards and uh, well spend some money: wizard you're back! I'm back! I've put the toupee on the mercy logo, so you can fix the belt squeak. Yes, we need to finally get that solved, but it looks like wizards little elves are are hard at work on hoopties.

They are not not. These hoopties, eventually apollo 911, will get going and that whatever it is below it and the wagoneer's waiting on upholstery yep but whoa what the heck's this 79 nova looks like a barn, find there's. Definitely a barn find it's been sitting. For a spell.

I imagine whoa, you did a video on this one. Yes, okay! Well, you can check out the video on that, but uh look at the azure. I guess there were some more leaks right. Yes, the rear load, leveling shocks.

The right side was leaking. You mentioned. It was starting to droop a little bit and that's why? Okay, so the lines up front are fixed lines up front, are fixed and magic mike discovered. Oh, that's the leaky one there yeah it's the leaky one yeah very mineral oily green there huh yep, to get to the bolts that hold the top of the shocks you have to partially open the convertible top and the rear shocks were two thousand dollars before labor.

Unfortunately, so yeah yeah - that was definitely a jean-claude van damme kick thank you magic mike any time and the corvette i've actually found a motor for wizard. Oh good, it is the correct 427. I'm not going to do anything crazy, resto, mod, modern. I want to feel the original motor, even though it has the modern transmission behind us.

So that's what we're going to do very good, it's coming from nebraska and there's a c3 next to it. I did a video on this one years ago, a 69 urination bobs. It is his car cool to see him both together, wait a second wizard one yacht two: are you in the yacht, repairing business now or is dueling yachts? Is that yours? Yes, you have a fleet of yachts. I have a carver and a bait liner.
What are you doing with two yachts? Well, the the carver's going to take all the rest of the year to finish it, and i would rather be out on the lake this summer, not working on that, so you bought a second yacht. Wasn't that what everyone does? I just buy a second yacht when the other one's going to take too long, so this yacht's more or less ready to go on the lake. Then yes, we're going to upgrade it with the navigation and change some things around, but it doesn't need to be gutted. It doesn't need to be torn down, it's ready to rock it's it's a single engine, but then it's odd, so yeah for fishing and also the auxiliary engine.

If this one were to give out, you can still get back to the dock. I see so what's in the not under the hood in a boat. What do you call it in the bilge, the bilge, the bonnet bilge? Yes, 5.7 liter, 350 yeah, nice, so one engine, so half the problems? Yeah you're, a yacht, you're a double yachtsman. You have a yachting fleet, i guess well: okay, wizard um, i'm here for the lamborghini, but uh i see chinchilla on the cadillac.

Let's go over there. First, okay chinchilla is putting all the trim back on. I need to do tires. Yes, it needs tires and i'm thinking white wall, because i like the white wall on the back, but this uh cadillac had been sitting for over 10 years.

The paint was tired: it's been repainted by mako, they did a great job. Now it's coming back together, you're working hard on my stuff. We are so lambo diablo. Finally has a brand new oem lamborghini steering rack not rebuilt.

It's brand new, not cheap, either; no, not cheap, so it's working, it works perfectly, not leaking. The boots are dry, no leaks anywhere. It's happy wonderful. The other issue was the air conditioning and that was kind of a hooptie fix right yeah.

We did a hooptie fix on it, so the issue was the ac compressor, wasn't engaging, it was blowing, but not blowing. Any cold air - and you discovered it was what so the compressor would engage for just 30 seconds and it would shut off. We checked the pressure, switch, the freon level, we checked all kinds of different things and they were, they were fine. We found out that the little control module for it had a fault inside of it: oh yeah, so the basically this climate control system, it looks like it belongs in a cold war bunker nuclear missile silo and something involved with that is not working.

So we retained the the original operation of the ac, but rather than let it turn the clutch on and off you can now do it yourself with the switch. So you put a switch, is it hidden right there? Oh, so this yes and it turns on the fan to cool the condenser. At the same time, nice and the ac blows ice cold and stays running now, yeah. We talked about this before because it's kind of annoying that lamborghini doesn't give you the option of disabling the ac compressor it's either on or everything's off, and that seems kind of stupid, most cars, even my old ferrari.
The 348 has a way to turn the ac compressor off so now, we've we've made that and made that in a hoopty kind of way it is, and it's better than buying some two or three or four thousand dollar module. That's used and will probably last six months and die again. Well, that's why you're a wizard wizard! I guess you are very effective. 99.9! Very effective! Here's, the mercy, logo! Key! Okay! I see the diablo keys are in it, so i guess i'll uh what we got a bill yet well of course, of course, okay, a bill and then i'll set off.

Yes, i'm excited. Oh here's. Here's the big bill! Lambo sized! Oh, oh yeah! That's that's! Lambo! Sized 3 303. We did get a refund from the rebuild on the junkie rack.

I discounted you that, oh also, there was no labor to replace it. A second time we covered that for you. Thank you wizard. It wasn't the wizard's fault, but uh.

I appreciate it. So very reasonable to hoop defy the air conditioning. That's definitely lamborghini pricing, but if it's fixed wizard, then it's it's worth it. It is it's worth it.

Please! Please just work this car just it seems to work. So this is officially the first time me driving a diablo that is sorted before this. I had never driven a diablo in this car when i bought it well. The tires were so old and terrible that it was a really bad experience and then the power steering let go, and then the power steering was broken again with that new rack.

So i really never had a chance this. This is it right now. Well, i've been driving it for a little bit and, oh, my goodness, you know my expectations for this car were not that high, because people always criticized the diablo for their driving experience. They think the countach is better, they think the mercy, logo or the aventadors are much better, but this car it may be my favorite of the three it it actually probably is so.

This diablo was certainly a little bit of a wild card, considering it had barely been driven in the last 10 years and when i bought it, it had a dead battery that we resurrected it and it barely drove itself home and well. It was a lot of money to fix this thing: twelve thousand dollars to sort out all the stuff, but twelve thousand dollars, which i think the transmission swap on the mercy logo, which required removing the engine, was less to do all of that by transmission. Everything than the sort out things on this diablo, it is way more expensive to keep the components on this car going than the later lamborghinis, but seems worth it from where i'm sitting right now, especially considering how well i bought this car for currently, it's the only Fully functional lamborghini that i have at the moment - and i imagine strength in numbers - is going to be the only way for me to have a lamborghini that works at any given time because well. Well, they break a lot and this one well.
It is acting a little finicky already because the fuel gauge is jumping around and kind of, have and kind of has a mind of its own, but whatever it's a lambo. Listen to that! Oh my god. I don't know if i'm just drunk from the hooptie high of having a fully sorted lamborghini, something that never seems possible, but i'm just so happy and really the three cars. I think this is probably the best looking as well.

Only a few hundred vt roadsters in existence - and they are so gorgeous the countach, obviously very over styled and breathed on heavily by a bunch of different designers but cool in its own period way. And the murcielago is definitely of its time as well. But not as pretty in my opinion, as this every single line on this car it it is over styled in a way that's not offensive. It is just so beautiful and well.

I am a very, very lucky guy to have the car wizard who charged me. Twelve thousand dollars well three thousand dollars today for the steering rack funness in addition to the extra six hundred dollars he charged before so four thousand dollars in the steering rack about a thousand dollars into making the steering actually not honk the horn. Whatever was wrong with that, the uh heck i forgot, what it's called some ring in the steering wheel was making the horn honk uncontrollably when i would turn the wheel so that was fixed for well. I think it was more than a thousand dollars.

It was. Fourteen hundred dollars yeah fourteen hundred dollars, and then there was the air conditioning to sort out there was the sticky button thing that i needed to get fixed. The console was all gooey and messed up. That was another twenty five hundred dollars.

Twenty five hundred dollars in tires and another few grand and just servicing this car front to back new fluids, so the grand total of twelve thousand dollars did cover a lot and was it all worth it? Well, i think you all know the answer. Absolutely. Yes, especially since i can put it on youtube videos and you all can watch and make it all possible. So thank you so much for making hoopies garage possible, making this lamborghini diablo possible and please make sure you're subscribed just hit that subscribe button right down there.

If you haven't already, because you don't want to miss the sorting of the countage and what i'm planning to do with it, i'm going to take it to california for monterey car week. It appears if we can get it fixed in time, along with the murcielago and uh. Well, maybe someday i'll get an aventador to compare it by i'll need more subscribers into the wheel. You can buy hooves gross t-shirts.

If you really want to help someone have four lamborghinis, which is ridiculous, i i don't need help with that, but if you want to enable my addiction, you can do those things. Thank you for watching really. Thank you so much. You.

Is it just me or does it look like there is a seat belt latch on your right when you're seated in the driver's seat? I'm confused because it appears you have your seatbelt fastened while driving. Does the Diablo have two seatbelt latches for the driver's seat?

I remember back in the day that Corvairs used to catch fire and were branded as junk…. Terrible cars.

But when it's a high end Italian car is just quirky….

If I ever get the money to have a high end car it ain't gonna be Italian…

Yep, the orange thing is the one to go as it's ugly and the colour makes it look even worse. The Diablo is a thing of beauty, a must keep, in my opionion.
