The W124's overrated IMO. Don't get me started on the W201!

I own a 400E with nearly 500k Kilometers. First Transmission and Diff. The pre Owner probably fucked this car allday, without changing oil in both parts. Transmission and Diff will always do 300k+ without Problems even with the M119. Otherwise the Kilometers are fake. Can imagine the car runs double the amount that is shown on the mileage counter. Greetings from Germany.

Part of the reliability issues in tbis 500 might stem from the fact that it's a monster le mans winning engine squeezed into a car designed for some much more underwhelming tickers.

so $18k USD so far. maybe another $3k in other small parts and fixes. total $21k usd for a well sorted 1992 500e is a good price. can probably sell it for $30k+.

Hoovie that speech was very funny. I guess the power of the Engine that Porsche made was very powerful but Mercedes parts were not good enough for it, for some parts–tranny and dif. for me that is because of the power of the engine at least. They have not made this type of car before. These cars like the Honda with Yamaha engine, or SHO ford with Yamaha engine. are not good cars to own in regards to durability. History has proven it. My Nissan Micra is 94. Sure the tranny was worked on but I have not changed much of its part, Engine and suspension nothing and everything worked up to 3 months ago, AC, power windows, blower, light everything. I hope that you sold it for profit.

But don't you know that Charles Koch is far, far on the political right? Very strange to buy a car from Koch inc.

Porsche did not engineer anything for this car, it was only their manufacturing plant that helped. All they did was put it together for Mercedes because Mercedes did not have a production line wide enough

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jonathan Cisneros says:

2600 for trans rebuild? Am I hearing this correctly? That’s not bad I’ve seen way more expensive on those German cars.
