Don't feel sorry for "Prius" what-so-ever. Propaganda on wheels, I was sad you aren't going to have it LS swapped!
Now put a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle engine in it….
I'm not sure where the idea came from where one would increase the speed of a hybrid vehicle by injecting nitrous to the generator part of the car. I would suggest increasing the voltage to the motors before doing anything with the generator. Possible battery upgrade to a higher voltage setup. I know that may not work either, but i'd say it would have a better chance at increasing speed than what was done in this experiment.

The Toyota Prius only has one gear. When you used Nitrous, the engine shifts up to prevent any wear and damage. When you have a hybrid (Prius for example) then, since you used nitrous, the engine had too much power to where the piston broke through the block.
If you had a car in 4th and used nitrous, your car's computer will automatically shift into 5th or 6th gear once the RPMs get high enough. (depending on the placement of the foot and depending on the nitrous) In a Prius where it only has one gear, the nitrous provided too much power to where the computer couldn't shut off the fuel to the engine (Rev-limiter) ultimately destroying the engine.
