Hello Hoovie, I've got a 98 STS..is there an option in my dash readouts to see exact engine temperature like you have here, instead of just the manual dial type w cold & hot on either ends?

I had a euro spec CTS 3.6 di with an engine that was set to selfdestruct after leaving the factory, then the US branch of GM just closed shop in my country .
They broke my hearth and my wallet .๐Ÿ˜ข

Caddy nailed the look of the STS, and for the first time in decades, the interior wasnโ€™t a cheap, tacky mess.

But then they wrecked it with the *Northstar System*. They could have stuck with the 4.9, improved it for more power, and given the Northstar a few more years of work but nope. GM had to GM it up.

With that being said though I do have an LS engine that I am going to be dropping into this beautiful 98 Cadillac DeVille d'Elegance

I have a 98 Cadillac DeVille with a hundred and fifty-eight thousand miles on it right now and when I bought it it already had an issue of overheating you would drive it for like 5 or 10 minutes and overheat light will come on I have changed out the whole cooling system the radiator the reservoir tank all the hoses thermostat and water pump since then my vehicle runs anywhere from 210 to 222 temp a few times if I'm racing the engine it will reach 233 but the over heat warning light never comes on again

Rip out the Northstar and jam the 2GR V6 from Toyota ๐Ÿ˜‚
Might not be as quick, but youโ€™ll never kill it.

These sevilles are awesome machines. Ya you have to do a shit load of maintenance and saty on top of every thing. 0-60 6 second 150 mile an hour luxury car that handles fantastic. A few up grades and you got high speed road car that seats 5 so comfortable. Today you can get these things for cheap. Concerned the worst car you car buy. Bull shit. Ya, you need a Maserati budget if your not a mechanic. Not that expensive if your patient and mechanical inclined.

This is so cool. I just bought a black 97 Seville SLS with 87,000 miles. I don't know if it had any work done to the heads but it seems to run pretty good. BTW I paid $2000 for it. It rides like a dream and everything works and the car is in awesome condition. Hope it lasts…

80K MILES, SOLD IT FOR $2,500, SCARED OF THE ENGINE FAILING.
