Wish I had made videos when I had my 7.3 toterhome. Was a custom build mini custom tuned by dp tuners Which made it get way better mpg and it had like 900ft lbs tq and 550hp. Only had 90,000 miles too

Just a few notes about the 7.3 Excursion, or any Ford 7.3. First is the simplicity, aftermarket parts, less moving parts and electronics, which is usually the first things to go on large SUV's and trucks. That 6.7 is 7300 lbs, a 7.3 Excursion is close to 10000 lbs. So it has alot more weight to pull and one less turbo, to consider, when your buddy is trying to shoot down its power. Also the 7.3 can burn anything, fry oil, used oil and diesel mix, red dye diesel which is over a $1.24 a gallon less, at the time of this post. The 6.7 can't even run out of DEF without it shutting down, let alone run on other fuel sources. Last, your friend is a soft butted yuppie and shouldn't ever be allowed to consider having a 7.3. There I said my piece, I did enjoy this video clip, but your soft butted boyfriend definitely made my eyes roll about a half dozen times…I'm a function over form person, and that is why I'll never own a newer style diesel truck of any make, because of the thousands of extra moving parts, infinite number of electronics that can fitz out, and their dependence on the computer tit. Also so many more of the parts for them are proprietary…..give me a 7.3 anyday…later Hoovie.
    Peace buddy.

My dream rig Ford excursion 7.3 turbo diesel all-wheel drive. My 01 E-350 is awesome 570,000 km starts in the cold Canadian winter know problem. Plus it's been so reliable but my transmission is starting to slip not a big deal.

1/2 the speed at 1/10 (or less) the cost!
I would take the 7.3 in an Excursion or F250 all day long over a new truck.
