Yes, i'm riding in the past furious supra. Yes, that's the pull my finger. Man, yes, welcome to hooves garage, the dumbest automotive channel in all of youtube and this well. This is an automotive icon, a 1994 toyota supra and last year i started doing live auction coverage for history and fyi on the barrett-jackson auction, and this is selling at barrett-jackson here in las vegas in a few days, and i now have exclusive access to the supra To go over it and well, i've already looked over it a little bit before and it has a lot of things that you wouldn't expect, and it actually has a pretty interesting history.
But this is actually the car used in the fast and furious film one and two driven by paul walker, and today i'm going to give you an in-depth tour of this car and we're going to look at some of the other interesting cars selling here at barrett-jackson, Including two of mine, so possibly i'll, sell two of my cars and get me into this - maybe probably not, but maybe so just for a little historical perspective. Of course. The fast and furious franchise is one of the biggest uh movie franchises going on today, but it started with this in 2001 in the fast and furious film paul walker driving this. He needed a 10 second car after his mitsubishi eclipse was exploded due to nas, which they don't explode because of nos, but the movie made it seem like the car exploded because of gnas and bullets and things uh, i'm the only one who's actually blown up a Car, probably with nos but the engine, the prius that i painted like this and button whoa, oh jesus, oh jesus and we've got engine problem, low oil pressure.
I just blew this engine by pushing the button for one second, what what is this? That's my oil filter and part of the block, quite a big kaboom to hilarity, but i built that car modeled after this, but actually this car wore a lot of different paint jobs over the years. It started as a stock. Supra automatic then was modified, but then changed even more for the film and actually came back in the second fast and furious film. In that initial drag race in miami, where paul walker is driving on r34 skyline uh slapjack was driving a supra, which was actually this supra with a completely different paint scheme.
So after that movie was done, somebody bought this thing and brought it back to its original, fast and furious paint scheme. I believe there's a couple of these cars, but this was a screen used, one in two films driven by paul walker, and it is very well done the paint job. It does look very beautiful, but it has a few things that you wouldn't expect, especially under the hood. As you can see, it has the iconic body kit and graphics.
The pull my finger man down the side, the giant wing. Basically, this car defined an entire car culture and made the super the jdm legend that it is today, but this car actually well doesn't have a lot going on under the hood to make it a 10 second car you see inside it does look very sophisticated with The extra gauges definitely a lot of aftermarket going on in here, and you can see there's the mounts for the nos tanks in the back, but the one thing that may surprise you about this car is the fact that it is an automatic transmission. I'm going to sit down in the fast and furious supra very carefully, can't believe it, but this transmission, it looks like a manual the way they modified it, but actually it's an automatic transmission car, no gear selection other than up and down, because it's an automatic turbo Supra, you have a few things here, like a radar detector. Little aftermarket audio stuff definitely has all of the gauges, but uh under the hood is probably another surprise. With this car i'm actually a little bit nervous and this aftermarket hood there's no amount for the prop rod, so i'm just gon na hold it up. But as you can see, this is the 2jz, but it doesn't have really any of the parts that i can see that you would overnight from japan to make it a 10 second car. This is a very, very stock looking engine bay, which is actually quite rare. You rarely see supras that haven't been messed with, and this one well seems like it never has.
So. This is actually a very significant piece of cultural history which i imagine will bring a lot of money here at barrett-jackson. Maybe a museum will buy it to bring in millennials to their classic cars. This is obviously a millennial icon, like the bullet mustang or the back to the future delorean at least of my generation.
The fast and furious supra is up there with us, but one thing i would like to see say: if i were to buy it would be to build it into the car that they said it was in the movie a 10 second, very fast supra. You have a really unmolested drive train under the hood, which is great for reliability. I imagine for making a movie, but wouldn't it be something to build this car in a youtube series to make it drive, make it as fast as it looks. It's a fantasy of mine that probably won't come true.
Imagine this will bring a lot of money, but there are some other cool cars here, some other famous cars and actually two of mine - that i'm selling i'm parting with two cars here at barrett-jackson selling them no reserve. So, let's take a look, actually they're moving the car now, so i can hop in and go for a brief little ride here in the supra going over the showcase how's it going not bad, but very civilized 104 000 miles they're still setting up. So it's a little bit of an obstacle course: oh yeah, this is how's. The drive seems to be okay, yeah yeah, all right, it's just like a normal car.
Yes, i'm riding in the past, fury supra. Yes, that's the pull. My finger man, yes! Well, thanks for the ride, it feels very civilized yeah, definitely a major day, huh very much so piece of history, as you can see a lot of cars here that they're bringing in still last minute. This is the day before the auction. When you see this it'll be auction day, i think thursday june 17th, through 19th, is when the sale happens and i'll be actually live on the air on history and fyi uh covering the action. But there are so many cool cars here you got a vw pickup with turbo twists on it all the way out there, but there's this a 2011 mercedes sls, like mine, i believe, is originally a disney domestic white car which we can see. There's a silver car. Originally with the red interior, unlike mine, it has all of the carbon fiber uh, but the owner of this or the prior owner is uh.
Siegfried, siegfried and roy bought it actually at barrett-jackson a few years ago. The chrome kind of makes it more like a delorean. Of course, these are styled after the mercedes goldwing, the 300sl with the 50s, but it does look really cool, see how many miles are on it. 21.
000 miles. So this car is actually used a little bit. Mine has way more 37 000 miles, but it's cool to see that this one's actually driven and used and right behind it. This is another car with las vegas famous ties except well, really famous uh, frank sinatra's, former maserati gably, and it is beautiful in person.
This one was pinned by design house guia and i think it's one of their greatest designs out of the 1970s and frank sinatra. Actually drove this car, he may have farted in the seat, most likely look at that shift, replacement up really high, but just absolutely gorgeous beautiful 70s gt car. So some very significant cars selling here, but there's also some modern ones with the well modern celebrity ownership. One.
That's really cool. Just look at this ca corvette, mustang, fastback, restomod, and then this, oh, my goodness, nassau blue, has the big block hood on it. Actually, it's a 65, but it's obviously a resto. Mod now has an ls3 6.2 liter under the hood, but look at the nassau blue.
I love the wheels on this car. Definitely a nod to the classics, but still uh, very rustomatic, the side pipes but there's there's nassau blue, the boat car and well. Of course, some big boats, but i'm seeing what i'm looking for over here, one of the holy trinity - yes, a mclaren p1 is selling here, but not just any mclaren p1. This one is owned by dj deadmau5 2015 p1, the car from the holy trinity.
Of course, the top gear with the laferrari and the 918, of course, the roof scoop kind of subtle on this car, but of the holy trinity with the laferrari. It sells for well way more than this original msrp same with the 918. They sell for a lot of money. These financially, at least in the hypercar world, are probably the most reasonable of those three cars we'll see if the famous ownership makes a difference, but beautiful spec car either way.
But now, let's head to the cars that a slightly less famous person is selling and yeah back to the future tribute to a toyota pickup real, really cool. I'm talking about me the cars that i'm selling. I brought two here to vegas to sell no reserve on friday really clean mark for supra ghostbusters, xl1, mark iii, supra and the cars i'm selling they're all the way down here right off the toilets, which i think is a good thing, because everybody has to use The restroom they'll have to see these cars when they come out, but the first one is my 2000 dodge dakota rt that i bought fairly recently, and i wanted a truck to be able to do truck things. And i bought this and it was a mistake because it only has 8 000 miles on it and the bed has never been used. The one time i did use it. I put blankets down, it was quite a process, so it really is a waste because i'm never going to use it for its intended purpose, and this is really a collector grade. 5.9 rt and nobody kept these to be collector great vehicles. So it's very very few and far between to find one like this, so i think it will do well at the auction.
That's why it's here and the other one is my 1951 ford country squire. The wizard did a lot of work on this thing, including everything under the hood, the edelbrock heads the open house or dual carb intake on a very nice driver. Car new wiring new tires seat belts on the inside. This is the type of car that you bring to barrett-jackson and hope for the big money, which is why i brought it here: selling no reserve, both of them so taking a little bit of a chance, but i'm pretty confident on the country squire, the dakota's, going To take two people that really really wanted to run the price up, but hopefully it does well both cars selling friday during the live tv coverage which i will be on on history and fyi, so be sure to check it out and don't miss all of the Action along with hundreds of other cars selling, including the toyota supra, the mclaren, p1, so much awesome stuff.
It is really fun to be a part of this be a part of live television which i'd never done live tv before kind of finding. My stride a little bit but then back to kansas after that and back to youtube. Thank you so much for watching you.
So technically that car isn't 100% screen accurate. Since they had to repaint the car to its original screen used look.
Details the shit out the exterior…engine bay literally left untouched. Messed up suprastore logo, and never even bothered cleaning it. The dash lights indicate the alternator is dying.
Neat but its not " The real deal Hero Supra" its just a shitty stunt car with a paint job etc lol. Can you say clickbait title?
2 words that dont make much sence to mee is Automatic and Turbo putt togheter ..
The car has been kept simple and easy to drive because they create the illusion of speed in post production.
But it’s hilarious that all the gear changing sounds of Paul just driving that thing around the neighbourhood are totally fake. A one pedal foot car…
The comedy value in Hoovie blowing up a Prius with nitro is nearly unfathomable
i saw one like this that sold at mecum in 2015 and the interior looked way different then this one and they say it was screen used as well and it sold back then for 185 grand
It's a stock 2JZ because this is NOT the Hero 1 car, the fully modified one from Craig. It's screen used but not the full blown hero one
Its the gold one ruined to make the one from the 1st one lol and paint don't even look like the 10k Lamborghini orange either
News JUst In , THE Famous MK4 Supra was just Totalled.. Pics are circulating the net !!!!!
I swear if I close my eyes, I would’ve thought Jeff Goldblum was speaking…
This F&F Supra is actually a reproduction of a Supra that Andreas Vaa in Norway built back in the days.
That's not the hero 1 car. It was an old stunt car from FF1 and repurposed to crash in one scene in FF2. Great replica at most. Huge waste on money.
Not a hero 1 car, should be stated that is a stunt version from the movie…
This aint the “Hero” 1 car btw, go to craig libermans channel he was the original owner of the supra used in F&F1 and Slap jacks 2F&2F Supra
The colour is great, but the paintwork on that Supra is unreal… so clean and shiny!
