I love your car, it is beautiful and lucky to have you as it's owner. I have the 75 450 SLC, I do drive it regularly and do all my own work on it. I was lucky when I got it in 2004 used, the previous owner had a new not rebuilt engine installed and took great care of it. So I do keep up with all the maintenance as we all should with the German built Mercedes, they are beautiful and worth working on them.

Ha ha, I had two of these and they are junk to both drive and look at – handle like hovercraft, rust like a canal barge and drink fuel like a sidewalk drunk. Horrible cars 🤣

Doug is wrong. He is also boring, repetitive, predictable and terribly irritating. I gave up watching him years ago. It is beautiful. I’ve not had anything like the troubles and expense you have suffered.

    Hello
I found a 1981 380 SL that has had a new small block Chevy 350 engine & a 350 TBI transmission 700R4 put in it likely due to the cost of rebuilding the motor that blew up. Body is hood. Any advice on taking a chance on this kind of “resto-mod” with a heart transplant? I suppose it needs to be priced right & I need to know it will never rise in value for purists… but I think it could save a lot of grief & is a decent value from $12k – $15k…. thoughts?

Totally disagree with Doug on this one; totally agree with Hoovie. But, having owned a W220 S Class, I know what it's like to live with these vehicles. Money and patience are necessary.

You all demand I use a wireless microphone in every video I make, and when I have in the past, it proves to be about as reliable as my old Mercedes. I just spent $700 on a new setup and still have issues with it coming out one side. I am aware of this. Sorry…
