The legend is just that – a legend. They break same as everything. I'd take an old Mazda or Nissan all day every day. You can fix the Mazda/Nissans- these ^ are absolute b*****s when they go wrong/rust out/crap the bed on a major component. The Toyotas everyone thinks is Toyota are the '80's Hiace 2.4 vans, the 1.2 Corollas, The Liteaces, the 1.8 Carina (and the older 1.6's) – I've worked on loads of these ^ – gurbaghe as they age. Wallet busters. The Legend is a myth – unless you have the Full-Fat 4.2 "some markets" version – and you won't be able to keep fuel in one of them – it won't break, but you probably will…
