BMW IS ONLY UNRELIABLE IF YOU DONT TAKE CARE OF THEM, LIKE ANY OTHER CAR. Hyundai blows up at 30k so does Subaru sometimes. Hemi Motors tick, f150s have their issues and etc.
Sort out the transmission and oilcooler first
Then see how it goes from there

Lol the first seconds FACTS… from my experience I’ve owned an e60 M5 and I always took good care of it by servicing and changing the oil at 3k miles. The s85 engine loves 10w60 oil!!!

Lol dude bought an SMG…. I paid 4x this amount for 1/1364 manuals and 1/34 Indianapolis Red and got offered 7 more than I paid at cars and coffee the next day. The manuals with upgraded rod bearings are incredibly well built cars. You need to be able to afford gas and oil and preventative maintenance. Amazing bargain to have a 205 mph supercar for anything under 30k…. Snap up a Manual while you can get one between 30-50 now. One of the best V10s ever made.

For $6500 he's lucky it runs at all. If he were serious about not loosing money he would spend 15k more on one from a careful previous owner, who looked after it like his own child, then do preventative maintenance and enjoy driving a dream car that has an engine based on F1 design. Cars should pick their owners, not the other way around.
