How about an engine swap? Hemi or a LS

I'll really like you to read this,
After doing the valve seals and you still get oil in the intake your problem is the supercharger, get it resealed. The supercharger is know for letting oil through after some time and that what's you saw, as for the engine it's made of Alusil and what causes the cylinder to score is the Oil weight and the thermostat opening temp too high, get a lower temp thermostat and use 20w40 or 20w50 oil and the scoring will be a thing of the past. The engine doesn't have to be that expensive the engine is a derivative from the N62 v8. The block is exactly the same, apina only used a custom piston to reduced the compression. Get the N62 block, transfer your rotating assembly (piston and crankshaft) use the alpina heads and you've got a sound engine. Sorry I'm just seeing this now, i would have been of help if i saw this years ago 😅

He's a good mechanic they just didn't realize the engine was shot from the beginning. And all he needs is more parts and money.

Jonny successfully attacked the valve seal issue….should be paid for work completed…which he was …next suggest overhauling the turbo charger as it’s a likely major contributor to problem…..I question how much scoring would create such a huge smoke problem? Remember it doesn’t have to be 100% perfection just serviceable and enjoyable to drive.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Walter Thorne says:

Gentlemen…on tear down …given all the oil in the super charger …I wonder why not overhaul the super charger first then a reevaluation of the smoke issue?

Just use heavier oil for high mileage engines, replace that supercharger with turbocharger.
Those cars are still fascinating, it is pay for play and probably worth it! I say fix it with a turbo and keep it; valve seals are a problem for all engines. Good luck! 🙂

I rarely do this when I watch car videos, but a thumb down.

It can't be possible that that is the second Alpina I remember one from the late 80s. I could be wrong but I'm almost sure of it. Also I could have told you it was that supercharger. I couldn't have let that car go.
