What's all that? Um, maybe mold black? Oh I Got a mask here sometimes I Use it. I'm gonna definitely put in a mask that's black mold. Oh, you didn't wear a mask and there's a bunch of meth in the car. Did it go underwater? Uh, was that just the dust or just salt water from the ocean? Yeah, that didn't hurt anything.
Welcome to Movie's Garage. It's the dumbest on road channel in all of YouTube And this is my 2019 methirati Levante or what's left of it after card trick the organ fail. basically. Freddie Hernandez Ed Bullion and myself went to Oregon in Washington state with the most terrible off-roaders that we could find and well went off-roading and off-roading The combination between an Italian and Chrysler sports crossover seemed like a terrible idea, and it absolutely was.
There was lots of Damage Done to this thing. So yeah, it's back and it survived somewhat, but there is a lot of damage and it is filthy, filthy dirty. There's probably even more damage than I Know that's why I'm taking it back up to the Car Wizard today to get it inspected again. When I originally purchased it, it was a bank repo that hadn't had its oil changed in 60 000 Miles because probably it was used as a drug Runners Vehicle: after noticing a terrible smell in the car kind of like a litter box.
A cat's litter box you all told me, Well, that's what meth smells like. Apparently there's a few meth enthusiasts or users that watch Uv's garage. No judgment. I suppose in any way, we ended up exploring the car and finding some remnants and some paraphernalia inside of this vehicle.
But despite not having an oil change for 60 000 miles an Italian Maserati engine, a couple of oil flushes and it's been great. No issues there at all. It also has over a hundred thousand miles on it. Almost 105 000 miles on it for a 2019.
So pretty impressive. and it did somewhat survive Car Shrek And with that, let's start the tour and then we'll head up to the car. Wizards Now this is our 10th car trek that has been sponsored by Auto Tempest since the beginning. so a huge thank you to them.
And if you want to thank them even more, go check out their website. They are the best place to search for a used car online because they combine all the major listing sites in to one search and you can specialize by color say white or brown for example engines. V6 V8 mileage location just like if you were shopping on one of the major car sites, but it combines all those car sites into one search, making it so easy. I Use Auto Tempest pretty much every day to shop for cars to compare prices and you should too, because it makes car trek possible.
So check them out in the link below. It's a very fun thing to do to make car trek possible. and with that, let's start the tour of the aftermath and you can see it is brown. It is disgusting.
It is dirty, the windshield is fully cracked now, but the damage begins down low because this is a sporty crossover and even though it has air ride suspension that can lift up well, it still has a sporty bumper that doesn't clear all the rocks and things. And oh my. God is it just absolutely annihilated this wheel Arch as well. unfortunately held together by tape and the knobby off-road tires? Well, they're still doing the job right now. It's in this lowest setting, so that's why it looks so close to the body, but it does go up pretty high in the air. I Use this tow hitch a lot. Not for me, but to get Ed Boolean out of everything because that Land Rover was so useless. I wonder if is this mold growing on my car? It may be mold growing on my car.
We were in some weird locations, we camped in a few places, so the interior too is. yeah, that's sand from the Oregon beach. There's dust all over from hundreds of miles probably of dirt roads. This is what's left of my tent.
I Bought a universal tent that's kind of like a Pontiac Aztec tint. I Believe it's all still there, but it all had to be moved to the front because the Transporters needed to take off my roof rack and my spare in order to fit it on the lift. But but oh my. God is this thing disgusting? But I'm curious because there are a lot of scrapes underneath what kind of damage I did down there? So that's why we were going to head up to The Car Wizard.
There's also a fairly persistent suspension airlight, so once he gives it a clean bill of health, we'll get it down to Van Gogh and hopefully restore it once more back to its Italian beautifulness. Yeah, other than the noisy tires, the Come forces the off-road tread and pretty loud, you had no idea that this thing has been through what it's been through. If you couldn't see the dash and the crap and everything else still drives completely normal. Great noise, great power, amazing cars.
The car wizard owns one of these two is one of Jenny daily drives him so he knows them well. Hopefully he's not too mad with what I did to mine wizard. Hello, The Metharati is back. You've seen it here.
You've seen it in Oregon and now you see it again. The aftermath here. it looks like it's been through hell. it has been through a lot.
that's why I want you to look it over. make sure I didn't really damage something, especially underneath. Does it have any warning lights on? now? the air suspension warning is on. Um, maybe mold black? Oh like because I use it.
I'm gonna definitely put in a mess that's black mold. Oh, you didn't wear a mask and there's a bunch of meth in the car. I Guess you like meth? Okay, but not mold? huh? Yeah, Matt's okay, but not the most. Okay, Well yeah.
inside, uh, it's It's a bit of a mess. But yeah, other than the uh warning light for the air suspension, everything's doing what it's supposed to be doing. I think I can take this off now. Okay, all right I just won't breathe back there.
What is that? All from the filming? All that stuff? Yeah, that's a tent. there. A tent. Yeah, there's some sand from Oregon right? I'll be putting some in your shop. Yeah. Oh wow. I Have not looked under here since everything. It's probably fine.
Oh no, it's a bit. Dusty Oh, you made a mess. I Still don't see any leaks up here though. No with a hundred thousand miles has been through hell and back.
Yeah, you fix one little leak early on. but other than that, nothing, it's amazing. Did you see down low here? Oh, that was a boulder. A boulder? Yeah yeah.
this sporty front bumper is not really good for, uh, ground clearance. How old are you did the other vehicles that you were? Well, you'll just have to wash a car truck to find out. But uh, surprisingly, for a crossover, an Italian crossover? Pretty darn good. Pretty good, huh? Yep.
but I'm curious if I really screwed this thing up. So how's your wife's Maserati treating you? The professor actually just died on it. Really? Yeah, the clutch coil died. Other than that, totally reliable.
Like a Honda it's the same thing that broke on the Ferrari 458, right? Yeah. Clutch coil. okay wheel. How's the comforters? The forces? A little noisy, but uh.
they definitely do the job. Yeah, Wonderful tires. Highly recommended. Highly recommended, huh? Well, there's a ride height sensor there.
Everything looks intact there. Okay, anything broken strut looks fine. Obviously it's holding itself up. CV Shaft is good.
No leaks, everything's drying. Yeah, this is quite a quite a chew there. Not sure if I'm gonna be able to save this piece. Can you drive over here? Okay, yeah, it's driving fine.
Wow, it may be just a fault that we need to clear out of the computer. Nothing's really wrong. Okay, shaft's not damaged. Yeah, it does look really good.
but I am starting to see some scrape edge here. Oh no, that's just. it's just Gunk because this is plastic. Okay, some sort of a heat resistant foam with sand coming out of it.
There's a lot of yep, there's a lot of sand that's packed up sand there. Yeah, a lot more sand. Yeah, Okay, really, it's looking pretty clean under here. Yeah, needs a good undercarriage wash.
but otherwise this ride height sensor is okay. I Was afraid that one of them might have gotten broken from all the articulation. Yeah, it really held up pretty well. So I had some really hard hits as far as on the suspension itself on different pieces of the body.
and I'm not seeing anything that even looks scraped. No, all the sensors are happy. These things are absolute freaks. Wizard they are.
It should not be this solid this reliable of a vehicle considering it's half Italian half. Chrysler A crossover. kind of built a little cheaply. Yeah, with some weird Italian that's going on? No, no, but they are fantastic driving.
Vehicles They look good. The Interiors do look a little cheap, but otherwise they're amazing. Everybody should have Levante they'd appreciate too. This car was almost a hundred thousand dollars and even though I had a hundred thousand miles, no oil change is 60 000 miles. Yeah, a lot of issues but it was 30 grand. Yours was nice and it was still less than half, right? Yeah, it was around 55. We got it for so about half off and it was a year two years old. Yeah! Overall an amazing value.
Yeah yeah. Can we see what that error message is before? I Go! Yes. Implausible data received from body control module Maybe Thrashing a Maserati off-road seemed implausible to it. Huh? And then it shows where you turned off the suspension so we could put it on the lift.
I See, Okay, we give that the old fashion reset there. Yeah, we can reset it. It may fix it. Yeah, try it.
Yeah, do a full reset of everything. Yeah, that's how you fix a car. That's how you fix them. Yeah, just reset all those fault codes.
All right. So all my damages literally cosmetic on this thing. So next up is Van Gogh I Was heading down the highway and I just had this fall off it over. well.
Stuart Two or three years of drug running and there wasn't much damage other than the horrible smell. but uh, one week of car trek and it's uh yeah. did you guys have fun? We had a good time. Yes this Maserati went where No.
Maserati has gone before and uh, it has the tattoos to tell yeah about it. Oh I love the duct tape. Yeah well I had to get home I'm not sure if that lower part can be saved. What do you think? yeah? I want to do is I'll take it off and we'll we'll figure it out.
Yeah, inside it's It's rather trashed. Oh okay. Oregon beach sand dust from hundreds of miles of dirt roads. It's uh yeah.
I that's yeah. that's pretty cool. I think there's also I think it's growing it. It keeps getting bigger every time.
I see it so it might be mold that's growing on this back quarter. Maybe I'm inventing a whole new pharmaceutical or something. If you want to lick, it is all of a sudden running. Yeah, if you want to lick it and see what happens, you know.
I'm glad you're impressed with my handiwork here. Yeah, uh, is that just the dust or just salt water from the ocean? Yeah, that didn't hurt anything. Yeah, a week of abuse here. We'll see what you can do with it.
Uh, and then you have something of mine in here that's had about two years of abuse. Yes, I think you'll like it, but it had an incident as well. right? Yes, So yeah. come on back here, tell us, let's take a look at that.
The van. Ah, very colorful. Yep, there it is. Okay, it's my Texas fade.
Yeah, it's shiny again. it is nothing like a little brown on Brown Yeah, so the primary reason that it was here. First of all, it's just kids of me beating on it for two years but also I damaged something in the back I sent a trailer hitch into the door and the bumper so you did your own Texas fade there? Huh? Yeah, so we got it. I mean I think it matches really well it? Um, you come over here right? because it's a darker brown up here and then lighter on the bottom and then you have to spray up and it was a pretty nasty Dent too. So yeah it? um, you know we didn't We didn't have to blend the whole rear end of the van. Yeah, makes it a little easier, huh? Okay, well I'm impressed. Even the wheels came back which I thought I was going to replace those. Holy moly yeah.
Um, you always put a condom on the steering wheel. Why do you do that? Because you never know who's there. Okay, well uh. box? Oh my gosh.
I don't think it was this nice when I bought it. Yeah, it turned out really good. Okay, yeah, oh, you kept my bat in here, huh? Yes, Well if only you had this. Uh, when somebody was here late at night? huh? I know? So yeah, we had this.
God this would have come in handy. We had this issue with the uh, the catalytic converter. People decided to give us a visit. They took my Vans converter.
They did. Yep. so you started it up and it sounded like a race car. It did.
Yeah, it was like something's really wrong here. It didn't sound like this when it came in. Well I know they just shut down a massive operation in Oklahoma where they were taking all the converters to. so hopefully that puts a damper on it.
but it's just so darn out of control right now. Oh I know because they've been making the Rounds Around Wichita a in different suburbs and well I appreciate you covering that for me. It really sucks because it probably took a lot of the money you would have made on this van out and just putting an exhaust that somebody stole in a minute. Yeah, so it was.
uh, but we, we got it done. You know it happens every now and then so well we felt bad that it even happened. This looks better than new I need to get to the car wizard because the bed is stuck down but uh, it's a cool van though. it was a mess.
This gives me high expectations for the Maserati that you can bring it back because this was pretty darn dirty. Yeah, so I think we I think we can make? Yeah, that's my first time ever having a catalytic converter stolen and thankfully I was on the hook to pay for it even though it is terrible that van Gogh had to pay for all that and wipe out any profit they would have made on doing that work for me. But it's just unimaginable people cutting out these exhaust components of these cars which can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars to replace. And well, they're able to do it with very little repercussions.
There's not really a task force cracking down on these people as much as they should in my opinion. There are so many things that are heavily regulated, just ridiculously regulated in this country that Do no harm to anyone but this one. It does harm to the environment because they're cutting out the exhaust and it does harm to individuals Often low-income people who don't have garages that have a loud car. they don't know why and well, their Christmas is ruined because they had to spend a thousand dollars on a new converter and really something needs to be done in. Newton Kansas Where the Car Wizard is? It seems like every other car doesn't have its catalytic converter and it drives by and makes a horrible noise. It's just so out of control it needs to stop. But back on a good note. it has been a few weeks since I Dropped it off with Stuart and the Maserati I'm told is done and looks a lot better.
so it's only been a few minutes with you all. It's actually been a few weeks since I've seen Stewart in the Maserati So let's go. It's done all right. You got the clipboard of Doom There it's been.
It's been about a month. It was a lot of work. maybe three weeks. Yeah, yeah.
does um, the phrase time flies when you're having fun work in this case I Guess so. Okay, so there's pages on the new voice I'll get to that in a little bit. but uh yeah. Internet.
Oh wow. It has never looked this pretty before. It is clean now. Yeah, there are no traces of meth or off-road abuse or anything anymore.
Well, I take that back. You mentioned it wasn't going to be a hundred percent. There's a little little Dent there. Yeah, so here's what happened.
Not that I'm making excuses or anything. Okay, But so when I went to get the parts when the car first came in, easy to get them four or five days out, bring the car and take it apart I go back to one of the parts now they're a month out. I know you needed the car. so yeah, we'll just do a repair.
The problem is, the parts were so mangled to get it done quickly, it wasn't going to be 100 so I decided to make a judgment call and do that. However, saved you know, 2500, almost 2 600. Oh just in parts. Yeah, so so that's if you were doing it for real would be yes.
four thousand dollars thanks to yeah with the parts. thousand dollar bumper cover? Yeah, yeah, one is. you know, one. one of the parts.
a thousand shoes. There's three of them, just the lower bumper. so there's two. Yeah, 24 2500, just some parts.
Okay, well able to salvage those I kind of took the history of the car. oh you're what history. but I you know I've always said this to you even if I'll go around. Hey right? it has pedigree now.
Yeah, it's a car truck car. Forget the whole no oil change for 60 000 miles in the meth heads and all that boy it looks gorgeous. Oh all the sand is gone. are you sure? I mean there's no and there's so I mean it was basically a Sandbox in here.
Yeah yeah, oh what's that here? One one little speck there. the last one. so yeah. I kind of lived in this thing too interesting. Oh yeah, so we saw the uh, the mattress. the mattress. it's like I can't wait to watch the video I want to see the adventure? it kind of, you know. And then the engine bay was horrific and now it looks pristine.
It looks like a three-year-old car now. yeah, back to back to where it was. Well Way Beyond where it was from Bank repo. Oh that's true.
Yeah, yeah, all right. yeah, it's a good looking car. Yeah well I think it's going to stick around when you see the car trek. It was so much fun, this thing beating around in an Italian crossover.
Yeah and I just fell in love with it. Plus it's pretty much unsellable I think yeah by the time I disclose everything, uh yeah, the only people who are going to want to buy it are anyway. it's just worth keeping at that point, right? right? Well, I'm glad we went to around bumper than that controls. Yeah, Well yeah, it turned out really good.
Yeah well. Stuart and Van Gogh always come through for me. the spork shining Bryce yeah check out the new card trick and Auto Tempest thank you so much for watching.
I hate your stupid intro so much that i like it now, great channel
We miss car ninja too!
That van is the OG of urban SUVS, and the paint is now off the chain
What a load of crap, the thing came back okay because it did nothing off-road. A few scrapes on the front end but no damage underneath. The under bonnet dust was chucked in thereby a person and all the rest is just bullshit. Makes for okay content for your average person who knows nothing about cars.
I took my catalytic converter off mine and hollowed it out since it was plugged (ik ik but you can't find one for my vehicle anymore) so if anyone steals it, they gonna be mad lol
It means junk or money pit
I wish I could afford to ship my 88 Cadillac down to Van Gough* (I'm not spell checking lol). I would die for a detailer that passionate around me. I live in the middle of nowhere, Canada. DM's always welcome 🙂
" if you re doing it for real " 😅
The body shop guy does great work, I hope he is in more of the videos.
Vango worked a miracle on the Metharati! That is astonishing!! That car looked a wreck! Amazing!!
Vango.. outstanding work again
I’d gladly put some miles on the Metharati for you after you’re done with it.
Our neighbor had their catalytic converter stolen from their Prius. The thieves hacked a bunch of wiring….it totaled the car.
